We document the musical heritage of St. Croix and celebrate the living culture of Cariso, Quelbe, Calypso, and Quadrille.
Music In Me
To bring the music and musical culture of St. Croix to more people, Red Dragonfly Foundation is producing “Music In Me,” a documentary film about Quelbe music’s roots, its present, and its future. The film will feature dozens of interviews with Crucian musicians and culture bearers, plus compelling live performances.
Our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and share St. Croix's significant contributions to the arts by documenting the musical heritage of the island and promoting the living culture of Quelbe, Cariso, Calypso, and Quadrille to today’s audiences.
We are working to help these songs of resilience and celebration reach wider audiences and spark the imagination of future generations who will carry this legacy forward.
Mission, Vision & Values
Red Dragonfly Foundation is a woman-led globally distributed team of filmmakers, artists and activists. We are inspired by the revolutionary spirit in the music of St. Croix and the universal call for freedom we hear in it.
It’s an honor to film culture bearers from St. Croix and to hear and share their stories. It’s also illuminating and inspiring to learn from these elders.
